Wishing You A Sweet Christmas

It's time for a new challenge at Digitally Sweet Challenges.

Theme:
Anything Goes

Sponsor:

This sweet image is 'Eleanor and Pickles Peppermint Sticks' from Lacy Sunshine.  I've colored her with Prismacolor pencils and then added lots of Stickles and also added some dots with a pink glitter pen.  It's really a simple card with just some pom pom trim, a bow, and my bead center.

We look forward to seeing your creation for another Anything Goes challenge.
Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Celebrate Love

Several weeks ago, I said I would share some of the projects I made for our son and fiance's engagement party. These are the invitations I made.

I used an ODBD 'Birds and Butterfly Labels' stamp and lots of die cuts.  Their wedding colors will be black and white; I added the blue for some color interest.  The sentiment was created and printed from my computer.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Heartfelt Creations

Where, oh where, has my mind gone!?  I'd really like to have it back, LOL!  The problem is, I had no idea it was the end of the month already!   Where has the time gone!?  Today is the day for the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Team Blog Hop and I have had my card ready for 3 weeks but forgot to sign up!  If you would like to participate, head on over to Selma's blog and join the hop for the chance to win a $25 gift certificate.  She'll have the hop list for you.

For my card, I used the new Christmas Sentiments Circles PreCut Set to create a shaker card.  I used the smaller image for the stopper.  The flowers are the Petite Poinsettia PreCut Set, cut out with the Layered Poinsettia Shapeabitlities die

Sing A New Song

Oh sing to the Lord a new song; for He has done marvelous things!  Even though fall brings a close to another growing season; the gorgeous colors remind us that there are awesome things ahead!

I was so excited to receive my Gelatos in the mail today.  I had seen a technique where real leaves were used and wanted to try it.  I really thought I remembered how it was done and didn't bother checking until I was finished.  Turns out, the only thing I got right was using real leaves, LOL!

I wanted fall colors so I used green, yellow, orange and red.  I used 90# watercolor paper. After blending the colors, they were very vibrant so I dried the paper and then went over them with white.  I wet the leaves and then added the color directly to them.  I placed the leaves on the paper, covered them with a paper towel, and then ironed over them.  For this being my very first time using Gelatos, I was really happy with the final results.  I have lots more ideas floating around so we'll see what happens next.  Art is always an adventure!

Oh yes, I also purchased a new Scalloped Borders One die.  Shopping is so much fun!

Hey There, Girl!

It's Friday and time for a new challenge at Digitally 'Sweet' Challenges.

Theme

I helped my DGG shop for a prom dress and we had a hilarious time!  We started at an upscale used clothing store but as you can see, we didn't have any success.  But that's O.K., we had several malls to explore.  And yes, we did find the one perfect dress.  She is such a gorgeous girl and such fun to shop with!

I made a little digital mini book.  I was planning to print out the papers and elements to create a paper copy but ran out of time.  Where does the time go!?  I used the 'Hey There' kit from Template Dreams.

A Little Fall Love

I'm not sure if you'd call this a fall card or halloween, but it's not very spooky so I'm going with fall.  This little sweetie is all dressed up in her orange and purple cowgirl outfit.  (She's a fashion trendsetter, LOL)

The orange strip was embossed and I added some 'Pumpkin' Creative Inspirations Paint dots.  The purple 'button' and the seam binding were painted with 'Royal Purple'.  That 'Splendid Circle' die has been on my wish list and Hobby Lobby had it on clearance so I was happy, happy, happy, LOL.

I used some black Stickles, orange and purple beads for the stick pin and some orange rhinestones.  The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations.

Fall means...Pink Pumpkins?

It's time for a new challenge at Digitally 'Sweet" Challenges.

Theme
Anything Goes

IRL these pumpkins aren't quite this bright pink; they're a bit more muted.  Maybe the Diamond Stickles tricked my camera, but bright or muted, I like them.  After all, they're pink, LOL.  I started with a 'Pumpkin and Vine' image from our sponsor, Cedar Chest Designs, and then used a sketch from Creative Inspirations.  The word art is an older one from Word Art Wednesday.  I printed the word art and pumpkins and then printed the pumpkins again.  They were colored with Prismacolor pencils and Diamond Stickles and added with pop dots.  I added some Glossy Accents on the owls eyes and then finished with some faux stitching.

So now it's your turn to join in the fun.  Remember, the entire month of September we will be featuring your favorite theme, ANYTHING GOES!

Scarecrow Love

Good morning, friends!  Today is Friday and time for another new challenge at Digitally 'Sweet' Challenges.

Theme for the entire month of September

DigiDarla Designs

Today I have 2 versions of the same image; one digital and one paper.

I used DigiDarla's Lil Lad Scarecrow and digital papers from Template Dreams, which I've recolored a bit. I colored this cute little fella with PrismaColor pencils and then cut it out with the Romantic Rectangles die.  I then scanned it into Photoshop Elements to design the rest of the card.

The paper version

I used the Classic Collections Paper Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  I printed out the sentiment, added a few rhinestones and some hemp cord.

So that's it for me today.  Hope you join us; remember, it's 'anything goes', so have fun!

So Thankful

Is it really time for fall!?  I'll have to admit, fall colors are not my favorite colors to work with.  I'm more of a pastel, pink and green girl, LOL.  Next time, you'll probably see a pink door!

I thought I'd join Joan's Gardens Challenges which asked for gingham, checks, or plaids.  It wasn't until I took the picture that I realized I used the lines in the checks to line up my layers so now it doesn't look like checks anymore.  Some of the layers have been edged with a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen.  I used Forest Moss Distress Ink on the checks layer and the butterfly was stamped with Forest Moss and then painted with Creative Inspirations Paint, Green Olive.
