Tea Bag Gift Card

Woo-Hoo!  I have time to play again, LOL!  Today I created a tea bag gift card with a sweet little mouse image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  You can find the tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers here.  I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop; I hope my Roman numerials are O.K. for the numbers!

I also wanted to participate in 'A Gem Of A Challenge' and 'Robyn's Fetish' which both called for kraft but by the time I added the Picket Fence crackle paint and added my layers, most of my kraft was covered up!  Sorry!

The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils; the clock is a sticker from my stash.  The image was die cut with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles die and added with pop dots.

The inside holds 2 tea bags and I used the same die to add the sentiments.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Heartfelt Creations_Fall Harvest

This is such an exciting time to be a part of  Heartfelt Creations as we have been able to play with their very first line of Heartfelt Creations paper!  There  is no way that one could over emphasize the quality of this paper.  The weight is perfect for anything you would want to create, including flowers.  The colors are rich and vibrant, and it feels so luxurious!  Here is the description from Heartfelt Creations.

This month we are delighted to release our very first line of Heartfelt Creations paper. Check out the beautiful patterns, luscious colors, and organic textures. Some come with our stamp images in them; others are abstract. This will add some fun and variety to your creations!

The Classic Edition Collection stamp sets and die release is gearing towards the fall season and colder days. A rustic truck, wooden wagon, playful dog, berries, apples, and pumpkins will keep you busy creating as the sun begins disappearing earlier in the evenings. Our card samples will give you many ideas to get your creative juices flowing.  Leave a comment on the HC blog by July 24th and you will be eligible to win the entire release.

For my card, I chose to use some hexagons to showcase the baskets of fruit.  Guess who is going to be one of the first to purchase the new Spellbinders hexagon dies, LOL?!  The 'Grandmothers Flower Garden' quilt pattern has always been one of my favs.

Below you will find the supplies and directions for this card.  Be sure to visit the Heartfelt Creations blog to see all the DT's awesome creations with this new line of stamps and new papers!

Christmas Puppy

When the air in the car quits working and the temps hit the mid 90's, a little bit of frosty Christmas weather sounds very good, LOL!  I really miss participating in challenges and so I took just a few minutes to make a very simple Christmas card.  It's time to start thinking about creating cards for our holiday craft show and so I start relying on dies, punches and wonderful images instead of bulky embellishments.  And who wouldn't love to find this cute little fellow peaking out of their Christmas stocking?

I made a Z-fold card, used a MS punch at the top, attached a ribbon on both sides, tied a bow and added a vintage button.  The card has been distressed with Tea Dye.  The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and highlighted with some glitter gel pens.  The trim on the stocking and the snow have been painted with Creative Inspirations 'Blue Ice' paint.  It was cut out with the Fleur de Lis die and mounted on some red mirror card.  I was trying to catch the shimmer from the paint but I'm afraid my photography skills are non-existent today.

We are on the last week of chemo and radiation treatments so life should slow down a little bit.  We saw the doctor yesterday and he was amazed that my friend hasn't gotten sick or lost her hair.  We praise God every day that she has done so well!  Thank you for your prayers, I know they make a difference.

Thank you so much for visiting and have a blessed day!

Happy 4th of July to everyone!  Wishing you a safe and happy holiday.  We watched our town's parade last night, 1 1/2 hours!  Our little town is known for having an awesome parade and fireworks.  It's always fun to watch the excitement of the children.

Today I made a card using the cracked glass technique.  It's something I hardly ever do and yet I really like the results.  You will find the supply list and directions below.
