Heartfelt Creations August Alumni Blog Hop

Hello friends!  It's time once again for the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop. The hop starts at 8AM EST on Friday, August 30th, 2019 EDT and closes Monday, September 2nd at 11:55 PM EDT . Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday September 4th, 2019.

Every year we have a Blues and Barbecue event for our Habitat for Humanity program. I like to support them by donating something for their sale. This year they had these bird houses and asked several of us to decorate them. I started by painting them with craft paint.

This one reminded me of a gingerbread house and so I used the Sugarspun collection to decorate it.

I loved how the corner piece from the Ornate Pocket Accents Die fit perfectly under the roof. The birdhouse was finished with a coat of water based varnish.

I also created a card to correspond with the birdhouse. I like to use mesh instead of acetate for the shaker window.

edit: I should have called it tulle instead of mesh.  Sorry!
