It's Time For Some Green

It's been a beautiful, quiet Sunday.  The winds a bit too nippy to be outside yet, but the sun is shining and I was so excited when we discovered our Snowdrops are blooming!  Spring is definitely on the way!

The afternoon went by quickly while I spent some time in my craft room. This pretty little lady is from Rick St. Dennis, you'll find his Etsy shop here.  She's colored with Prismacolor pencils.  I really think I need to start using a little darker colors; I like pastels but she's looking a little washed out.

For my layout, I used a photo of my sister and I at Christmas.  Her family had reserved a lodge in Ohio which gave us the rare privilege of spending the holiday together.

Today I have a mothers day card.  I started by using a MS lattice punch to punch a border.  I then inked a Sizzix border embossing folder with Victorian Velvet Distressing Ink and then embossed the folded edge.  I then threaded a ribbon through the lattice.

I added a blanket stitch to the top layer of DP and then added it with pop dots.  The image is a cutie from Mo's Digital Pencil and has been colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  The flowers were punched out, painted with 'Sage and Rose Quartz' Creative Inspirations Paint, and finished with a brad. 

A few rhinestones complete the card.
