instructions
To
create folio, use a piece of white card stock 8 1/2" x 11”. Score at 5
1/4" and 5 3/4", fold on score lines. Cut 4 pieces of white card
stock 5” x 8 3/8” for both outside and inside. Ink the edges with Abandoned
Coral and adhere to front and back and inside of folio. Cut 3 pieces of design
paper 4 7/8” x 8 1/4”, adhere to front and back and inside left. For spine, cut
a 2 pieces of white card stock 3/8” x 8 3/8”, ink edges with Abandoned Coral,
add to outside and inside spine. Cut a 2 pieces of design paper 1/4" x 8
3/8”, add to spine, outside and inside. From white card stock, die cut 2 corner
pieces, 1 label, 1 tag, and squirrels. Cut with coordinating dies. Also cut
squirrels from craft foam. Color squirrels with Prismacolor pencils. Add the
craft foam to the back of the squirrels and then add to the folio. Stamp flowers on white card stock with Wild
Honey, die cut and shape with 3D Shaping Mold. Add Bright Pearl-Small Flower
Stamens and gold Stickles. Stamp sentiment from the Cheerful Notes Sentiment
stamp on white card stock with Jet Black, cut with the Ornamental Tags Die.
Also cut the circle from blue design paper with the same die set. Trace inside
the label die with a blue glitter gel pen and ink the edges with Abandoned
Coral. Cut hole reinforcers from gold metallic paper. Add 1 to the tag and 1 to
the label. Add blue brads. Layer the tag
and circle to the label with foam tape. Adhere to the folio and add the
bow. Add the flowers with hot glue.
Inside:
Using the largest tag die from the Album Tags and Accents Die, cut from white
card stock. Cut the inside piece from blue design paper and adhere to white
piece. Die cut the banner from white card stock. Score at 3/4" and 1” from
both ends. Fold in a banner shape. Center the sentiment from Cheerful Note
Sentiments stamp set and stamp with Jet Black. Add foam tape to center of
banner and add to tag. On white card stock, stamp the
cottage
3 times. Also cut 1 from craft foam. Shade the windows on the first layer with
blue Prismacolor pencil. Add the craft foam to this layer. On 2nd
layer, color the entire image. Die cut the window from this image with the
coordinating die. Add the colored image to the white layer. Also cut the window
frame from craft foam and add to window frame. On 3rd layer, color squirrel and
die cut with coordinating die. Also cut from craft foam and adhere to squirrel.
Add these layers to the cottage. Die cut the background from coral design paper
and adhere the cottage. For pocket, cut a piece of design paper 2 1/2" x 5
7/8”, score at 1/2" and 5 3/8”, fold tabs back and adhere to bottom of
left side. Adhere cottage to pocket.

Right side: To create
sleeve for note pad, cut a piece of blue card stock 4 3/4" x 6”. Score
6” side at 1/2" and 5 1/2", fold back and adhere sleeve to folio, 1
1/8” down from the top. Cut a piece of design paper 1” x 5”, add to top of
note pad. Stamp ‘Hey Friend’ on white card stock with Broken China. Cut with
oval tag die, add gold hole reinforce and blue brad. Add to note pad with
foam tape. Stamp ‘With All My Love’ on white card stock with Jet Black and
die cut with 3 1/2" arrow die. Stamp the rest of the sentiments on the
note pad with Jet Black, Broken China, and Abandoned Coral. The sentiments
are from the Cheerful Note Sentiments and For My Friend Sentiments stamp
sets. Slip the note pad in the sleeve. If the note pad is too tight, trim off
1/16” from each side of the chipboard back.
