 Today I'm sharing my July calendar page.  Originally, I was planning to do a patriotic theme but my thoughts kept going in a different direction and so I decided to follow my heart.  This page is dedicated to our daughter, Wanita.  Dec. 26, 1963 - July 2, 2013.

Each page has a pocket; this is the pull on the tag.  I will show all of the tags next time.

There's an amusing little story connected to  this picture.  When I realized my printer was out of ink I put several small pics on a 4x6 in Photoshop and took it to WalMart to print.  The saleslady took one look at this and said "This looks like a professional picture and I can't sell it to you."  I was completely shocked!  I tried to tell her that I took the picture, but she wasn't getting the picture, LOL!  But when I know 100% that I am right, I stand my ground!  And in the end, I got my picture.  Whew, she had me going for a minute!  (Maybe I should have been flattered that she thought it was a professional photo but I was a bit too upset to think about it.)

We were given several beautiful images to choose from but the choice is always made easier when there is a little pink involved, LOL!  

And the gardening saga continues

I am so excited to have my own strawberries!  I know that we're not supposed to let them set fruit the first year but I just had to have a few to taste.

Doing a little companion planting, hot peppers with cabbage.  All that compost is producing some amazing plants!

And, of course, I just had to bring in some of those gorgeous peonies!  I work with a simple point and shoot camera and it is so color challenged!  Those irises are an amazing deep purple but the camera always sees purple as blue.

Is there any image that could be more appropriate for me, considering that I'm spending most of my days in my garden.  And my garden is well watered!  We keep trying to work between the showers.  But that's a blessing; I don't have to water and everything is growing by leaps and bounds!  

But I digress, you're here to see my card.  The image is from Sparkle N Sprinkle and is called 'A Watered Garden' by Michelle Perkett.  I've colored it with Prismacolor pencils and then  added white and pink transparent glitter.  Love all the glitter!

And now I will share a few pics from my garden.  I've finally primed my fence, now I just need to choose a color.  One friend suggested periwinkle blue, another, purple, or how about yellow or maybe fuchsia?  I'm horrible at making decisions!  (that branch in the foreground is my curly willow)
