I Promise

Recently I joined an accordian book swap at SCS that included scripture.  I chose "I Promise" as the title because I used scripture that referred to promises made to us by God.  I used DCWV The French Country Stack papers, Recollections bling and some seam binding to tie it closed.

I added a tag at either end so I could add a few more promises.

Mother's Day Card

I can't believe it's almost the end of April which means it can't be long till Mother's Day.  For this card I used Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3439- Flirty Fleurs PreCut Set and HCD 717 Layered Scalloped Posy Topper.  I became acquainted with Heartfelt Creations last year and was immediately drawn to their flower stamps with matching dies which makes everything quick and easy.  For this card, I stamped the image on acetate and colored with the shimmery paints from Creative Inspirations Paint.

Here is a more detailed description of how I made this card:
Cut CS 6 3/8 x 8 3/4", score at 4 3/8", fold and crease.  Cut DP 4 1/8 x 6 1/8".  Die cut Romantic Rectangle.  Stamp Flirty Fleurs image on acetate and paint with shimmer paint.  Die cut with Lacy Oval.  With DP, cut 2 Lacy Ovals, cut out the center of one.  Die cut the Posy Topper as a doily, trim to fit center of Lacy Oval and adhere.  Adhere image over Posy Topper with Glossy Accents and then add the Lacy Oval with center cut out.  Adhere panel to card with pop dots.  Make 3 small flowers by stamping with VersaMark and using gold EP.  Die cut tag, print sentiment from computer on DP and add to tag.  Add tag to card base with pop dots.  Add seam binding bow and 3 small pearls.

Thank you so much for visiting and have a blessed day!

Flirty Fleurs Z-Fold Card

This is another card I made for Heartfelt Creations.  It's a z-fold card made with HCPC 3439-Flirty Fleurs Precut Set
I always seem to be late to the party but I did finally manage to buy some seam binding and am wondering why I waited so long!  Love, love this ribbon!  I bought white so now I'm coloring and crinkling and loving the results.
I embossed this image in gold and then colored with a blender pen and chalks.  The lacy design around the image is HCD 717 Layered Scalloped Posy Die inked with Broken China distress ink.

Spring Makes The World A Happy Place

April showers bring May flowers.  At least we have something to look forward to during all this rain.  This card certainly brightened up my day!  The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The DP reminded me of a quilt pattern so I did some faux stitching.  It's a good thing I quilt better with fabric than with paper, you could catch your toenail in this stitching, LOL!

I added one of my Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch die flowers made from a cereal box, felt, some glitter and a flower brad.  There is a butterfly stickpin and a seam binding bow.

I wanted to add some pearls along the border of the image.  They aren't flatbacked and I was afraid that I would make a big mess with the glue so I glued them to a 1/8" piece of ribbon and that worked perfectly!

Memories

Today I have a very simple but pretty card in beautiful spring colors.  I am following the sketch at Sunday Sketch & Stamp.

The pretty color scheme is from Stamptacular Sunday.

The sentiment stamp is a clear stamp which I layered on a Lacy Oval diecut with pop dots.  The left panel is bordered with a MS punch and some small lace trim and is then also added with pop dots.

The charm is added with a seam binding bow which I colored with some shimmery  Creative Inspirations Paint to match my paper.

The flowers are an attempt to try something new and I was quite happy with how they turned out.  I used Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch die and cut the bottom layer from a cereal box and painted it with white acrylic paint.  After it dried, I coated it with glue and Diamond Dust glitter.  The next layer was cut from DP and all 3 smaller flowers were cut from felt.  They were finished with a button.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Easter Love

A tri-shutter card is so simple to make but gives such beautiful results.  You can find a tutorial at SCS.  I embossed the pink layers and then used Picket Fence crackle paint. There's a rhinestone cross and a rosette flower on the right side.

The stamped cross has been colored with Prismacolor pencils and is bordered with lace.  I added a Sizzix flourish, some pearls and rhinestones.

The smaller sentiments are part of the cross stamp set.  I designed the scripture with a frame from The Graphics Fairy which I altered a bit.  The little girl and bunny is a digital stamp from Tiddly Inks.  The cute little bunny kept multiplying!  He's sporting a little rhinestone tail. Can't have too much bling!

All Things Are Possible

This card is quite different for me.  I used a free image from the House Across The Bay which I found at Papercraft Star.  It is pink and green, 'nuff said, LOL!  Thank you!  For the first layer I used a MS punch.  The pink and white cardstock is layered and then added with pop dots.  The house and topper are also on pop dots.

The little sentiment is from an acrylic sticker sheet  that I've had for a long time.  It says Stickopotamus on it.  I have no idea where I got it but I think it's time I use them!
Several years ago we built a new home and in the process everything that could go wrong, went wrong!  So this scripture was quite fitting.  We definitely had to remind ourselves of this very often!
