Today I 'm sharing a birthday card made for a very special young lady.
I used 'Darla Dogwood', a free image from Heather at Lacy Sunshine. You can find the details on how you can receive these free images here.

Heartfelt Creations July Alumni Blog Hop
Hello, sweet friends! Once again it's time for our Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop!
The winner of this hop will receive a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations, you just need to email Emma Lou with "Winner of July Alumni Hop" in the subject line. The hop will close on Friday Aug. 1st at midnight.
Today I'm going to take a break from my calendar and share a Christmas card.
I stamped the flowers, colored with Prismacolor pencils, and then cut out in 2" circles. The center sentiment was covered with Glossy Accents and then layered onto the decorative circle from the 'Once Upon A Time Die'.
Tip: I never liked the way my paper buckled when adding Glossy Accents. I've now learned that covering the back with a repositional dot tape runner and sticking it to my craft mat will keep it flat till dry and prevent buckling.
The scalloped border is created with Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One die.

Crafting Fun
Hello friends! I can't believe another week has come and gone, where does the time go!? So it's time for another new challenge at Digitally Sweet Challenges.
For this card, I used Crafting Bear from Coosty Creations, along with the digital papers. The embellishments are from my stash. The image was colored in Photoshop Elements. For most of the image I used the gradient tool. I used a noise filter on the bear for a textured look.
This will be my last post for Digitally Sweet Challenges which makes me a bit sad. I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of such an awesome group of designers. Thanks so much, Karen and Denise, for allowing me to play along. God bless!
Thanks so much for visiting and have a blessed day!

Christmas Under the Sea
Last week Heather, at Lacy Sunshine, had offered a choice of 2 images for her 'Loyalty Program' digi. I chose 'Sheldon C. Turtle', such a cute Christmas image!
I used a snow pen on the furry parts of his hat that is supposed to puff up when heated, but it didn't work. So, rather than throw the image away and start over, I used Stampendous Shabby White Embossing Enamel over it and now the white parts of his hat are all sparkly. I've had this paper stack for ages and decided it would be perfect for this image.
Thank you, Heather, for this cute image.

Sweet Memories
Hello friends! Once again it's time for another new challenge at Digitally Sweet Challenges.
These sweet victorian images are from LunaGirl Vintage Images. The frame is a shape in PSE, which I duplicated. I used the eye dropper to choose colors from the pictures for my background papers, added a text layer and reduced the opacity. I needed something to define the sentiment so I used a tag, using a blending mode, and erased around the edges to make it fit the sentiment. The color of the ribbon was changed to match the LO.

Christmas in July
Hello friends! I was watching a video on making a telescopic card and decided I needed to try that.
Now, there are a few things about my card that I don't like. For one, I added the circle while it was open and didn't notice that the sentiment was a bit wonky. And IRL those hearts look O.K. but in the pic, not so much! But I did enjoy the process of making the telescopic card; I think there will be some more in my future. Thanks Barb for a great video!
Challenges
Penny's Paper Crafty; #185 anything goes
Deep Ocean Challenge: #81 Add A Setiment
Digi Choosday Challenge: #27 Punches and/or Die Cuts (snowflake punch, Spellbinders scallop circles, hearts)
Fan-Tastic Tuesday: #43 anything goes
Inky Chicks; #33 Christmas in July
Card Mania; circles
Sparkle N Sprinkle: July_anything goes with glitter, embossing powder, and/or flocking; I used glitter on the candy canes, snowflake border, and flowers, Frantage on the sentiment panel
Scrapbook Blessings Club Tutorial Challenge: must fit to YouTube videos: telescopic cards
Sentimental Sundays: #214 Red, White and Blue; must include sentiment
The Glory of Christmas: #37 anything goes/Christmas
Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!
