Tea Cup Bracelet

Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop
Hi everyone, it is the last Tuesday of the month so today is the beginning of the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team’s monthly Blog Hop.  If you'd like a chance at winning a prize, be sure to leave a comment on each blog along the hop by Friday - there is a $25 gift certificate up for grabs for one random commenter!  The blog hop will remain open for comments on everybody’s blog through midnight Friday night May 3rd.

For my project today, I thought I would do something a little different.  There's so many fun things we can do with our stampsI used the tea cup images from the China Fragments PreCut set, which is part of the Old English Garden Collection.  I stamped on Shrink Plastic and then colored with markers.  I followed the directions on the package to shrink them and then made them into a bracelet.

This would make a wonderful gift for someone who likes to collect tea cups.

From here you will hop to Lisa's blog.  Remember to leave a comment on each one for your chance to win that $25 gift certificate.

Good Friends and Umbrellas

Joan's Gardens has an interesting challenge this week.  They're asking us to create a card using items from the letters 'TULIPS'.

T_  texture, trellis, transparency: I wanted some polka dot paper but didn't have any and the only white paint I had was some fabric puffy paint.  Worked great!  I also used a MS trellis punch.  The sentiment is printed on a transparency.
U_  umbrella
L_  layers, is that stretching it?  I was going to add lace and forgot.
I_   items from Joan's Gardens, image; Spellbinders scalloped circle die; image is from Digi Desserts Fridaze
P_  paper, Prismacolor pencils, polka dots
S_  stripes, sentiment, scalloped circle, stickles; the stripes were created with markers. Isn't that a wonderful sentiment? Love it!  'A Good Friend is an umbrella for the soul'.

Whew!  I hope I got everything covered!

Thanks so much for visiting and have a blessed day!

Raindrops are Diamonds

It's Friday, which means it's time for a new challenge at Digitally 'Sweet' Challenges.

Theme
Bling it up with Diamonds

One of my favorite plants is Ladies Mantle.  The yellow green flowers aren't the main attraction; it's the way the raindrops bead up on the leaves and look like diamonds.

Be sure to check out all the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the DT and join us with your diamond creations.  The only requirement is that it be 100% digital.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Hugs and Prayers

Today I made a card/booklet for a very special person.  I wanted to include lots of encouraging words so I created an accordion fold card.  I used some of my favorite papers, 'DCWV The Performance Stack'.  The sentiment was printed and then die cut with Spellbinders Labels 18.  The red layer was edged with a Krylon gold pen and then I added the pearls.  There are some flowers, some lace, and then it's tied with a ribbon.

The inside includes scripture from Jeremiah and Psalms.

I used an EK Success punch on the front and back cover panels.

Thanks so much for visiting and have a blessed day!

Gonna Find Me A Bluebird

I've been trying some different folds and today I created a Joyfold card.  The image is from Whoopsie Daisy.  It's designed simply in my very favorite colors of pink, green, and white.  A few  flowers with button centers, lace, ribbon and a little bling complete the card.

I hope you've had a fabulous day and don't forget to give your loved ones an extra special hug!   Thanks for visiting!

You Are Special

Today I used another Dilly Beans image.  It's been colored with Prismacolor pencils, layered with card stock and then placed on an embossed panel.  I used a pearl pen to add the flower centers and then covered them with some yellow stickles.  The sentiment was printed out, added with pop dots, and then they were edged with some more stickles.  The finishing touch is a yellow ribbon with a pearl center I made.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

Happy Day

Today I decided to try making a twisted easel card.  I also used a new stamp from Dilly Beans.  I recently discovered these stamps, created by Megan K. Suarez, and absolutely love them!  I added a doodle frame around the image.  The hair is paper pieced and the image colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The heart design at the edge and the hexagon design on the tag are embossed.  The tag is finished with a seam binding bow and a butterfly.

I wish now I had cut the striped paper with straight sides instead of using the die.  Guess I'll just have to go make another one!

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!

A 'Barely There' Animal Layout

It's a beautiful Friday again, and time for a new challenge at Digitally 'Sweet' Challenges!

Theme
Animal Fun

One lucky winner will win a $10 gift certificate!

I got myself in a bit of trouble this week.  As I was browsing through CCD, I saw this lighthouse image and immediately thought, "That would work great with my lighthouse photo".  I was almost finished with my LO when I remembered; our theme is Animal Fun!  I had already downloaded the image which meant I had to use it.  For some reason, my mind latched on to this photo I had taken of my son.

(And this is where I'm in trouble again; I can hear him now!)  Heather, sweet DIL, could we just keep this between us girls?!  I had him stand in our yard with his fishing pole, holding out his hand as if he were holding something.  I later added the fish bowl and fish. Extracting him and that skinny fishing pole from the background was a bit of a challenge.

If you noticed, I had stuck his kitty kat in his pocket, but that was a poor representation for an animal theme LO.  So I then tried to extract Zoey ( animals are notoriously hard to extract!) and added her.

O.K., a fish, a cat, and a dog.  And a lighthouse.  And, oh yes, a son who puts up with all my weird ways!

It's been a long week!  sigh

Sweet As Candy

Today the challenge at Digitally 'Sweet' Challenges is a photo inspiration.  I love the bright, cheerful colors!
This photo was taken quite a few years ago; she has grown into a lovely young lady.  The sentiment panel was a freebie from Scrap Girls.  The gingham papers are mine, created in Photoshop Elements.

I hope you join us with your 100% digital projects; we would love to see your interpretation of the inspiration photo!

Thanks so much for visiting and have a blessed day!
