Grandmas Don't Talk Like That!

It is, once again, Friday.  Which means it's time for a new challenge at Digitally 'Sweet' Challenges.

Theme
Tell Me A Story; journal to your heart's content

This LO is one of my favorite memories.  Mercede (our DGD) was taking voice lessons and had just finished an awesome concert.  Afterwards, we took her and her sister out for a snack and this is what transpired.

Journaling
We took Mercede and Raven to Dairy Queen and during the conversation I happened to say that I like to use lots of 'bling' on my scrapbook pages. The girls 'cracked up'!  At that moment a car went by that was obviously a teenager's car (had cool little blue running lights) and I quite innocently said, "Wow, that car is 'tricked out'!  The girls were hysterical!  When I asked why this was all so funny, they said, "Grandmas don't talk like that"!  Who knew?

Thanks so much for visiting and have a blessed day!

  1. What a fun layout. I really enjoyed your journaling. I guess your granddaughters didn't realize you are one of the "cool" grandmas. LOL Thanks so much for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday.

  2. I think it blows their young minds to even toy with the idea that we might possibly be cool, or that it wasn't so long ago that WE were just like them and that we still feel that "cool" on the inside. Makes me laugh. Oh, they will grow up all too soon and realize quickly how very cool we really are (and were all along).
Thanks so0 much for sharing your layout with us in this week's challenge and please stop by again soon. SO nice to fellowship with you!
